Did you know that red eggs symbolize good wishes for a new start in Chinese culture? Often served to guests as part of a baby’s first birthday and first month celebrations, red eggs can be given at other important birthdays and weddings too.  6 eggs
 water
 red food coloring
 vinegar
 soy sauce

Half fill a small bowl with water. Add some drops of red food coloring and a dash of vinegar to the bowl.

Take out the eggs one at a time from the wok/pot and put them in the bowl. Use a spoon to spin the egg in the bowl for uniform coloring.

Put the egg on a cooling rack for it to dry then transfer to serving bowl. Eat with soy sauce.
