Perfectly roasted ground nuts/peanuts using our good old oven.
Wash the nuts, rub them in-between palm to get rid of dirt on nuts
Dip dry with kitchen towel
Coat nuts with 1/2 teaspoon table salt (or to taste)
Put nuts onto the aluminium baking tray. (350g of nuts can fit into our aluminium baking tray for 1 shot baking)
Preheat our convection oven to 180°C for 5 minutes. Remove other baking trays (if any) from oven.
Set oven heater elements to be active on both top and bottom element.
Put aluminium tray with the nuts on the bottom tray slot of our oven and bake for 10 mins.
After baking for 10 minutes, take out baking tray and loosen nuts that may stick onto the tray. Spread out the nuts evenly, spread them with a metal baking tong (be careful: nuts and tray is very hot)
Insert baking tray into oven to continue to bake at same temperature of 180°C.
Set timer for 35 minutes baking.
Every 15 minutes, try to turn the nuts with the tong.
After the timer ends about 45 minutes, the nuts should be evenly cooked n light brown. If not, continue to bake for another 5 minutes.
Remove tray and let nuts cool off.
Switch off oven.
After 30 minutes of cooling, can store nuts into container.
