Healthy Homemade Dog Food

A healthy, nutritious, and delicious homemade dog food. The general guideline for a balanced diet is 50% protein, 25% veges, 25% carbohydrates + herbs & oils. Coconut oil, tumeric, rosemary and oregano are specifically good for senior dogs because they have anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and antibacterial properties.

 1 kg chicken (breast/thigh/liver/gizzard)
 450 g veges (brocolli/carrot/sawi/green peas/cucumber/cauliflower/apples)
 450 g carbs (rice/potatoes/oats/pumpkin)
 ground tumeric
 vegetable oil/coconut oil
 (optional) 4 clean eggshells for extra calcium
 (optional) rosemary & oregano to boost immunity

Cook 1.4 kong rice in the rice cooker.
* 1.4 kong uncooked rice = 450g cooked rice *

Soak 1kg of chicken breast in salt water for 15 mins. After drying with kitchen towel, coat evenly with vegetable/coconut oil and tumeric. (optional - sprinkle some rosemary & oregano on top)

Bake the chicken for 15 mins at 220°C/425°F. Let it rest in the oven for at least 10 mins after baking.

Briefly boil 250g brocolli and 200g carrots.

In a food processor, chop the chicken and veges into small pieces seperately.

(optional) Finely crush 4 eggshells in the food processor.

Add the chicken + chicken juice , veges, (eggshells) and rice into a wok and stir until evenly combined. Then, store the food in several containers in the freezer.
